About me

Damien – your coach for the mind

From the bike park to competition: mental strength forged in real sport.

I am Damien, a certified sports mental coach (Sport Mental Akademie Zürich) with more than 15 years in extreme sports. I know what it feels like when your pulse pounds at the start gate and your mind gets louder than any crowd. And I know what it takes to deliver in exactly that moment.

What you see in the picture is my everyday life: outside with young athletes, right in the middle of the action instead of behind a desk. This closeness to sport is my most important tool. It turns mental training from grey theory into something you can apply in your very next session.

With NeuroFlow I guide young athletes on their way from recreational to competitive sport. Honest, hands-on, and with methods that have to prove themselves in competition, not just in textbooks.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is sports mental coaching?

Mental coaching trains the mental skills that decide performance in sport: focus, dealing with pressure, self-confidence, routines and goal work. Just like your body, your mind can be trained deliberately and systematically.

Who is the coaching for – and from what age?

NeuroFlow focuses on young athletes moving from recreational to competitive sport – regardless of discipline, from snow sports to bike to swimming. We clarify the ideal starting age in the initial consultation, because it depends more on maturity and motivation than on a number.

What does a coaching session look like?

A session lasts 60 minutes. We work on concrete situations from your sporting life – like nerves before the start or dealing with mistakes – and practise techniques you can apply directly in training and competition. All coaching material is provided.

How many sessions until I notice something?

Many feel first effects after just a few sessions – for example through a start routine or a new view of pressure situations. Lasting change, like any training, needs repetition; we define the right rhythm together.

Does coaching take place in person or online?

Both are possible – in person in Rombach near Aarau (Aargau) or online, depending on topic, distance and training schedule. We will discuss what suits you best in the initial consultation.

Do parents have to be present?

Minors need the consent of a parent or guardian, and a joint initial consultation often makes sense. The coaching sessions themselves are yours – trust and openness work best in a protected space.

Is mental coaching the same as therapy?

No. Mental coaching is performance and personal development in sport and does not replace psychotherapy. If topics come up in coaching that need medical or therapeutic support, we address that openly.

What does coaching cost?

The initial consultation is free and without obligation. Prices afterwards are individual and on request, tailored to your goals and the scope of support. On request we can put together a personalised season package. All coaching material is included.
